Frequently asked questions
Are overseas qualifications enough for every electrical role?
Do not assume they automatically meet every requirement. Submit the relevant documents for assessment against the actual duties and ask whether additional confirmation is needed.
Is cable tray installation the same as electrical work?
Not necessarily. It may be a separate assembly role. Ask for installation, connection, testing and commissioning duties to be distinguished.
How should I look for fibre optic work?
List experience with cable laying, splicing or measurement if you have it. Check the equipment and duties; electrical experience does not automatically establish fibre optic skills.
